I had a slow leak from my hot water tank last year and I had called the original installer for an assessment. Instead of replacing it and filing a warranty claim, they decided to "weld" the area that had the leak. The weld held for about a year and it started to leak again. Not having high confidence in the original installer's decisions and capabilities, I found and reached out to Scavone HVAC. Frankie was my first point of contact and he was efficient, communicative, transparent, and responsive. Because of the aforementioned qualities, I decided to have Frankie and his team to do the replacement and file the warranty claim.

Frankie's crew showed up on time, replaced the tank in about 3 hours, and they left the area clean. I am very happy with my decision to work with Frankie, and Scavone HVAC will be my go-to expert for any HVAC related services in the future.

I learned more about toilets and bidets from Frank in 10 minutes than I ever would have if left to my own devices. I called Frank because I thought I broke my toilet trying to install a bidet. Frank came and informed me that the toilet wasn't broken and he resolved a small drip and made sure it was hooked up properly. He let me know that there is code that bidets need to meet and where to purchase one. Graciously, Frank didn't charge me for coming to take a look at what I was concerned would be a huge issue.

Frank was able to fit us into his schedule in a very timely manner, even though we were just a small job. He completed the work in one bathroom quickly and efficiently, and we haven't had any problems since. The second issue was not as easy a fix, as the pipe alignment to the new bathroom sink was not a straight line (installed by someone else). As the Executive Director of the Worcester Public Market and a private property owner who uses contractors often, the ONE thing I cannot tolerate is lack of communication from a vendor or contractor.

I can excuse errors and mistakes, but only if the contractor is diligent about picking up the phone when I call or explaining what's going on with the project and following through.

I called Frank Scavone to do a hydro air heating system. He was pretty booked up, so he gave me the number of another HVAC company. I called them, they came out to see the job, but when it was time to get started, they fell off the grid.

I called Frank back just after two days before New Year's Day, and he offered to come out right away on New Year's Day. We looked at the job, he gave me a professional quote, and got started right away.

I liked the fact that Frank (even though he's young) was old-school about doing business. A handshake got things going, and he was all about using the higher quality piping we needed for gas and water. Thinking ahead and at no extra cost, he used wider gas piping underground in case we wanted to run a connection to a new gas cooktop someday from our underground propane tank. He also recommended a brand of hydro air boiler based on the availability of parts here in New England, versus another brand from Germany, where parts are harder to get. Running the gas pipes across my finished garage so they didn't look like an after thought wasn't easy, but it was for Frank. Very neat and straight.

The job taking place in the winter, there were naturally some hefty snow storms which precluded Frank from working, but he still called to let me know what was going on. Again, it's very important to hear from the contractor.

When the weather cleared, he was back on the job. The installation of Pex heating pipes was done in a very clean and concealed manner, tucked neatly in the corners of our closets, laundry room, etc. Frank took enough time to really study my house, which was a maze of problems in terms of where to run pipes. But he found the answers without having to install two systems. When we HAD to dig into a ceiling, Frank put a master plasterer on the job to seal everything up and feather in the existing ceiling with the new sheetrock.

Running gas pipes 245 feet under a frozen terrain isn't easy. But, using a jackhammer attachment, Frank's backhoe was able to get through the frozen earth, little by little. With a base of pure dirt (no rocks) and an overlay of fine sand, tracer wire and yellow tape to alert someone there's a gas pipe underground, Frank sealed up the trench, planted grass seed, and had the area hydroseeded.

Finally, Frank's electrician (another great addition to the team) installed two state-of-the-art Nest thermostats and showed me how to run them.

One other thing: a truck full of sand made the delivery but accidentally turned his wheels in my neighbor's driveway, ripping up some asphalt. Frank had it repaired before the job was over.

Plus, Frank took it easy on me with the bill. Wasn't in a major hurry to collect, and didn't murder me on price.

Listen, I've hired a LOT of contractors over the years, and I've probably got fewer years in this world because of the stress. Working with Frank Scavone, Jr. and Frank Scavone, Sr. (his classy father, teacher and mentor), I had it pretty easy.

Frankie does really great work. Ive had contractors ghost me in the past but I've never worried about Frankie doing that. Although it may take him some time to get to you in a non-emergency situation, he comes when he says he will. That is the price you pay for good quality work and fair prices. I have called on him several times and not once did I feel as though he was taking advantage of me. Any time I need work done, he is my first choice!

I called Frank back just after two days before New Year's Day, and he offered to come out right away on New Year's Day. We looked at the job, he gave me a professional quote, and got started right away.

I liked the fact that Frank (even though he's young) was old-school about doing business. A handshake got things going, and he was all about using the higher quality piping we needed for gas and water. Thinking ahead and at no extra cost, he used wider gas piping underground in case we wanted to run a connection to a new gas cooktop someday from our underground propane tank. He also recommended a brand of hydro air boiler based on the availability of parts here in New England, versus another brand from Germany, where parts are harder to get. Running the gas pipes across my finished garage so they didn't look like an after thought wasn't easy, but it was for Frank. Very neat and straight.

The job taking place in the winter, there were naturally some hefty snow storms which precluded Frank from working, but he still called to let me know what was going on. Again, it's very important to hear from the contractor.

When the weather cleared, he was back on the job. The installation of Pex heating pipes was done in a very clean and concealed manner, tucked neatly in the corners of our closets, laundry room, etc. Frank took enough time to really study my house, which was a maze of problems in terms of where to run pipes. But he found the answers without having to install two systems. When we HAD to dig into a ceiling, Frank put a master plasterer on the job to seal everything up and feather in the existing ceiling with the new sheetrock.

Running gas pipes 245 feet under a frozen terrain isn't easy. But, using a jackhammer attachment, Frank's backhoe was able to get through the frozen earth, little by little. With a base of pure dirt (no rocks) and an overlay of fine sand, tracer wire and yellow tape to alert someone there's a gas pipe underground, Frank sealed up the trench, planted grass seed, and had the area hydroseeded.

Finally, Frank's electrician (another great addition to the team) installed two state-of-the-art Nest thermostats and showed me how to run them.

One other thing: a truck full of sand made the delivery but accidentally turned his wheels in my neighbor's driveway, ripping up some asphalt. Frank had it repaired before the job was over.

Plus, Frank took it easy on me with the bill. Wasn't in a major hurry to collect, and didn't murder me on price.

Listen, I've hired a LOT of contractors over the years, and I've probably got fewer years in this world because of the stress. Working with Frank Scavone, Jr. and Frank Scavone, Sr. (his classy father, teacher and mentor), I had it pretty easy.

My home in Worcester, along with many others from what I understand, burst a number of heating pipes when the temperature dipped to -18 F over the weekend. The original plumber I called came out after over a day without heat and was unable to address the issue in a timely manner. After calls to multiple competitors, Scavone Plumbing was the only company available on short notice.

Frank Scavone and his team came out same day and quickly assessed the scope of the issue and took steps to protect my pipes from further damage (e.g., drained heating system, shut off water). After fairly estimating the cost of the repair, he worked with multiple suppliers to get the materials needed to start repairs next day at 8 AM.

Throughout the process, he and his team were careful to talk me through the planned repairs, opportunities for enhancing the heating system, and timeline to get heat back on. The work turned out very good and the system is now better protected from future damage. His team worked in a neat and clean fashion that left my house in a cleaner state than it was when they arrived.

Within a week, Scavone Plumbing had my house operational, including the surprise burst bathroom pipe, and my family warm again in this brutal winter. I had a water heater issue over Labor Day weekend and called around to a few places and I had no luck getting in touch with anyone. I came across Scavone Plumbing on google and I gave him a ring. I called Frank late on Monday night for a pipe leaking in the basement of my three family I take care of for a friend. He came out the next day and said the main cast waste pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced. Frank and his crew showed up the next day to start. As we got into this it soon became a bigger job then we all had thought. The pipe was bad all the way to the roof of this old three family and the pipe to the street was also broken. Frank stuck with us and got to work on a whole house repipe and three brand new bathrooms bringing this old house up to new plumbing codes. I worked close with Frank and his crew and started demo. All three floors went to hotels for three weeks while Frank and his crew worked long hours and weekends to get us back home. We left with bathrooms from the 60s and came back to new modern spa like baths. They are awesome . While the city was here for Inspection's they flagged our front wall as unsafe and needed to be replaced. Frank still onsite took on this large task as well. The Wall is the nicest around. People stop and stare at the great workmanship that his crew did. If they could only see behind my walls at all the new plumbing pipes and my new baths. I called Frank early friday morning to take a gas line out of my chimney asap. He made time to come out to me Tuesday morning. In the meantime, he was very responsive to any questions I had and responded immediately. I wanted him to install a gas stove in the basement but he said it wasn't up to code and was old. I have used Frank in the past and have been pleased with his work and straightforward attitude. Recently our furnace broke down the night before Christmas Eve. Frank came right over to take a look and determined that he could replace the part that was broken. Being the holiday weekend nothing could be done until the following Tuesday. Luckily we were leaving for vacation so not having heat was not much of a problem. While we were away we learned that the company did not want to honor the warranty on the furnace but Frank was able to get them to ship the needed part. Sadly they did not ship the part until the Friday before New Years so we once again needed to wait over the holiday weekend for the part to arrive. During all of this Frank offered to bring us coffee and to put us up in a hotel so that we could stay warm after we had returned from vacation. Frank installed the new part as soon as it came and did not charge us anything for the work. The company agreed to cover the part but not the labor. I would call Frank again without a second thought.

My old inefficient hot water heater blew so I called Scavone Plumbing & Heating to have it replaced. I was given a couple of options, one of which was a Rheem Hybrid electric hot water heater. The work was done professionally and quickly. After a full month of having the new hot water heater my bill was $80 less. If you are thinking of replacing an electric hot water heater I highly recommend this company and the Hybrid water heater. Best case scenario in a situation nobody wants to deal with.

I have to say Scavone Plumbing & Heating LLC has earned a 5 star review. Other have said i can not go propane tankless, some have quotes us 27k dollars to put an oil furnace and storage tank and so on. Some have said it would take way to long for hot water to reach the 2nd floor.

Frankie Scavone not only completed the job but as you can see by the pictures it is neat organized and installed with pride. He showed up on time, explained the product and how it works, tested the system out with all showers, sinks and others running to prove it works. On Tuesday, thanks to his amazing guidance, our heat started working again. At that point, he talked us through checking everything over to make sure there were no other problems.

Called Frank several times last September but I never followed through, delaying our plumbing issue. Very knowledgeable. Eventually the plumbing issue got out of hand this May and we needed to have the main drain replaced. With the concern that this job was going to cost more that we can afford, Frank was very willing to work with us as far as payments. Come to find out the issue was occurring as a result of an electricians neglect, damaging the sewer line. Frank was able to provide us with estimates, paperwork and even helped us with speaking to the insurance companies and the town inspectors. We needed a plumber for a couple of smaller jobs in our two bathrooms, and I received a recommendation for Scavone Plumbing and Heating after posting a comment about our situation on my local town Facebook page. Frank was able to fit us into his schedule in a very timely manner, even though we were just a small job. He completed the work in one bathroom quickly and efficiently, and we haven't had any problems since. The second issue was not as easy a fix, as the pipe alignment to the new bathroom sink was not a straight line (installed by someone else). When the first attempt showed some small leaks (and he warned us it might, but wanted to make sure we had a working sink for the night), Frank returned the next day (on a holiday) with a different part that proved a better fit.

I woke up to a cold house and a broken furnace on a Monday morning. I had a brand new furnace and a warm house by Wednesday afternoon. Frank worked on my 29 year old furnace to try and repair it at first. It heated my house for half a day and then died again. I agreed to replace it and Frank acquired a new unit as quickly as possible. Frank took the cost of the failed repairs off of the replacement/install cost for the new unit which was already very reasonably priced. He and his crew cleaned up all the mess they made during install with the exception of some minor sweeping that needed to be done after the electrician was done. He and his employees were also very kind and considerate to my dog who was home while they were working. I will call them again for any plumbing/heating needs.

When i woke-up to my 19 yr old fridge leaking and the valve behind fridge would not close completely, i had to shut off the water to the whole house. Scavone Plumbing came shortly after my call & installed a shut off valve in the basement. We had a leak in the cellar and discovered that we actually had a blockage outside the house. We called Frankie and he sent someone within a half hour. We have and old house and they were not able to get to the trap inside the house because it was in the foundation. Frankie immediately came, explained the problem to us and within a couple of days pulled all the permits he needed to excavate the sewerage pipe in our yard. He was very professional and informative. He kept us posted with pictures and phone calls during this major sewerage problem. He fixed it promptly and put our yard back in order, fixing the sidewalk,replanted grass seed and removing and cleaning the entire area. If you are thinking of replacing an electric hot water heater I highly recommend this company and the Hybrid water heater. Best case scenario in a situation nobody wants to deal with.

Any other guy could have charged me to do the work.

I have used Frank in the past and have been pleased with his work and straightforward attitude. Recently our furnace broke down the night before Christmas Eve. Frank came right over to take a look and determined that he could replace the part that was broken. Being the holiday weekend nothing could be done until the following Tuesday. Luckily we were leaving for vacation so not having heat was not much of a problem. While we were away we learned that the company did not want to honor the warranty on the furnace but Frank was able to get them to ship the needed part. Sadly they did not ship the part until the Friday before New Years so we once again needed to wait over the holiday weekend for the part to arrive. During all of this Frank offered to bring us coffee and to put us up in a hotel so that we could stay warm after we had returned from vacation. Frank installed the new part as soon as it came and did not charge us anything for the work. The company agreed to cover the part but not the labor. I would call Frank again without a second thought.

He came out the next day and said the main cast waste pipe was cracked and needed to be replaced. Frank and his crew showed up the next day to start. As we got into this it soon became a bigger job then we all had thought. The pipe was bad all the way to the roof of this old three family and the pipe to the street was also broken. Frank stuck with us and got to work on a whole house repipe and three brand new bathrooms bringing this old house up to new plumbing codes. I worked close with Frank and his crew and started demo. All three floors went to hotels for three weeks while Frank and his crew worked long hours and weekends to get us back home. We left with bathrooms from the 60s and came back to new modern spa like baths. They are awesome . While the city was here for Inspection's they flagged our front wall as unsafe and needed to be replaced. Frank still onsite took on this large task as well. The Wall is the nicest around. People stop and stare at the great workmanship that his crew did. If they could only see behind my walls at all the new plumbing pipes and my new baths. Frank and his crew are the ones to call for all your needs. They all went above and beyond what you think a plumber should do. Very highly recommend.

We bought our home a couple years ago, and every year we have had issues with loud banging and it failing to reach temperature. We have called numerous companies and no one seemed to be able to resolve the issue for more than a week or two. After calling yet another company, Scavone Plumbing & Heating, we were desperate for a permanent solution. Frank asked us to have him come out exactly when the noise was happening (it sounds like a choo-choo train passing through the living room). He came out, made a few adjustments to all of the radiators, and 2 months later the banging has failed to return and the house is warm.

Frank Scavone is an awesome plumber! He SAVED me during the "arctic freeze" of 2016. I was referred to Frank by my boiler company after learning my basement pipes were frozen. Frank had never met me before, but came over within an hour of my phone call (on Valentines day nonetheless). After assessing the problem, he left to gather supplies & returned later that night with 2 space heaters and a plan to help save my pipes from bursting. He returned each day for the next 2 days until he was sure my pipes were safe. Thanks to his efforts, my frozen pipes did not burst and no permanent damage was done!

Scavone replaced our gas boiler heating system. His team was professional, and cleaned up after the job. His follow up has been very good, and the cost was reasonable.

Last winter my water heater broke, which was pretty awful because it meant we couldn't shower. I had to work the next day though, and I wanted it to be fixed for the next night. It was a good service we received. We were in kind of emergency situation, the apt dishwasher disposal broken. We called, and got respond from them right away. then everything went very smooth and got things done as prompted as we expected. We will use them again, highly recommended.

I have had Frank Scavone do several jobs for me over the past three years. This included replacing a furnace, putting in a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator. Also, replacing a leaky toilet and installing a garbage disposal. In addition, he brought in a gas line so I could have a gas stove. Last night, a pipe broke and my basement was flooding. I called Frank and he told me how to stop it and was here this morning to fix it. He is professional and reasonably priced. I would recommend him for anything with plumbing or heating.

My home in Worcester, along with many others from what I understand, burst a number of heating pipes when the temperature dipped to -18 F over the weekend. The original plumber I called came out after over a day without heat and was unable to address the issue in a timely manner. After calls to multiple competitors, Scavone Plumbing was the only company available on short notice. Frank Scavone and his team came out same day and quickly assessed the scope of the issue and took steps to protect my pipes from further damage (e.g., drained heating system, shut off water). After fairly estimating the cost of the repair, he worked with multiple suppliers to get the materials needed to start repairs next day at 8 AM. Throughout the process, he and his team were careful to talk me through the planned repairs, opportunities for enhancing the heating system, and timeline to get heat back on. The work turned out very good and the system is now better protected from future damage. His team worked in a neat and clean fashion that left my house in a cleaner state than it was when they arrived. Within a week, Scavone Plumbing had my house operational, including the surprise burst bathroom pipe, and my family warm again in this brutal winter.
